Our materials

Our brand's commitment to ethical and sustainable practices underscores the importance of making conscious choices in the fashion industry. By avoiding harmful materials and advocating for innovation and ethical alternatives, we aim to contribute to the broader movement toward a more responsible and environmentally friendly fashion sector.

  • AppleSkin™: AppleSkin™ recovers apple processing waste (the woody part and the peel) produced in South Tyrol, Italy. The discarded parts of the apple are dried and milled into a very fine powder. This is mixed with roughly 40 percent polyurethane (PU) and applied to a tear-resistant roll of cotton fabric. The roll is then heated to produce a weather-resistant, durable fabric. Finally, the fabric is embossed to allow for different surface textures. And that’s it: this is how Apple Skin is created. This innovative material is the perfect replacement for similar materials (petroleum derivatives), but has a partially organic composition made from organic waste. The carbon footprint of polyurethane is around 5.28 kg CO2 eq/kg PU, compared with apple waste recovery, which is considered to have zero impact. This represents a saving of 5.28 kg CO2 per kg apple waste used to replace PU.  The AppleSkin™ is approved Attestati C.E.I.R. - 100% green energy and coloured with pigments from natural sources.
  • Recycled PU: In the same spirit as all the other recycled materials we use, we aim to avoid the production of new items using virgin resources, which cause even further depletion of what our beautiful planet has to offer. This very soft and durable PU and RE-PL is made from 45% post-consumer recycled polyester and 55% of pre-consumer recycled polyester (up-cycled waste). Like all our recycled materials, this one is also GRS-certified and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and also Organic Content Standard. Global Recycled Standard (GRS), is the gold standard for products obtained from recycled materials and manufacturing activities. It is awarded for products made from recycled materials, in compliance with environmental and social criteria that extend to all stages of the production chain.

Eloquere is dedicated to ongoing enhancement and advancement in all aspects of its operations. This indicates a commitment to adapt, learn, and grow in order to become more sustainable over time. We actively seek to inspire all parties involved in the supply chain to adopt more sustainable practices. This collaborative approach encourages suppliers, manufacturers, and partners to align with our values and sustainability goals.

Both for environmental reasons and to contribute to our community, we have established a short supply chain for the production of our collection exclusively in Europe. All of the materials are made in Italy, and the entire supply chain from raw materials to finished goods, packaging and logistics is located within Europe.

This reduces our carbon footprint, allows great quality control and supports the local community. Moreover, it gives us the opportunity to offer our customers wonderful pieces, masterfully crafted by Italian artisans in cruelty-free, high-performance materials that did not even exist until 5 years ago, combining tradition and innovation.
